Exeter Palestine Day - Saturday 29th November 2003

Many thanks to all the Exeter Palestine Solidarity Campaign members who helped to make Palestine Day a success, in particular Sonia, Helene, Claire, Roy, David, Lizi, Sarah, Fuad and Emily. Thank very much every body and all those who came and supported the event by their physical presence. We have done very well on the day and we made a healthy profit on the day! Well done every body!

I hope you are as heartened as I am by the turnout and the overall effect of Palestine Day. I think the event was a successful initiative on more than one level. This success would not have been possible without the wonderful support of EPSC and the many volunteers working with it. I express my gratitude to you all for the hard work and the cooperative attitude, which, I hope, will make future joint events with the Institute possible.

I think the coverage by the Express and Echo was rather good, in its emphasis on the appeal and the in describing Palestine Day as an experiencing of culture in conflict, with photos of children, etc. The journalists may need to be congratulated on his piece.
